Cozy Season

It has been a minute blogging family! The past couple of months has been a whirlwind with new changes in life and I haven't set aside time to focus on blogging and other things that I love. So to start back up I thought that the perfect topic was fall season! I thought that I would help you guys with some wardrobe ideas during this cozy season.

I just recently joined Pinterest (please do not judge me because I know I am super late joining the Pinterest world but at least I'm involved now😭) and they have a lot of ideas for fall/winter wardrobes if you might be having a hard time finding warm but fashionable things for this season. My username is styledbyhannahgrace if you guys want to follow me!
Any who, my obsession this season is sweaters. Chunky sweaters are my absolute favorite on a chilly fall day or cold night❣

The first look I want to share with you guys is the "fall sporty look". Of course I love this look because sneakers are my favorite but the long moto jacket made this fit pop even more! This is perfect for a casual, cool fall day.

Fall Sporty Look
Jacket: Old Navy
Sweater: H&M
Demin: Old Navy
Sneakers: Nike

The next look is "fall casual". Chunky sweater and booties💛 This look gives me such cozy, fall vibes. Perfect for a cool fall night out on the town with a warm drink in hand. You could even throw on a nice peacoat if it gets a little too cold for just a sweater. Layers are always the way to go during this season.

Fall Casual Look
Sweater: Old Navy
Denim: Old Navy
Boots: H&M

Both of these looks are a fall must for me this season. Fall and winter season are my favorite times of year and I will be doing a winter fashion post very soon. I really hope you enjoyed this post and please please share with others if you found this helpful to you! Major shout out to the amazing photographer that helped me capture these moments, Jessica Mae Photography. Look Good, Feel Good😊

How many of you have heard the phrase, "If you look good you feel good" or something along the lines of that? Do you believe it? Well, I did some research and found some very interesting studies on this particular subject. In an article from Scientific American  it was said that "many studies show that the clothes you wear can affect your mental and physical performance." What you wear can even influence your thinking and negotiating skills, hormone levels and heart rate.
(P.S. I will leave the link to this article at the bottom if some of you are interested in reading more.)

It has been proven more than once that dressing well makes you perform better. I don't know about you but I am very much into fitness. I'm not a body builder or star athlete or anything but i enjoy working out and getting pushed past my comfort zone sometimes in the gym. Now stay with me because I know some of you hear the word gym or work out and you're like "nope I'm out" 😅 but you can apply what we are talking about in this post to any area of your life.
For me, there is just something about buying a new outfit for the gym and when I put it on I just feel motivated and ready to go kill it! Pictured below are just some different work out outfits that have inspired me to work harder while in the gym! Active wear can be fashionable as well 😍

I asked several people about this specific topic and I would love to share some of the answers I got with you guys:

*Do you feel you perform better in the gym when you put on a new outfit?
"When I buy new shoes and new clothes, those are the times I usually put in the most work! For example, I bought some new adidas trail shoes and hit a personal record in a off road 5k."
-619 fitness trainer

Same goes for whatever area in your life. If you dress the part you will feel more confident and ready to take on any challenge. If your looking for a new job and go out dressed any kind of way, you're less likely to feel confident and sad to say but less likely to get that new job. Where as if you go out with a classy suit or a very nice dress you are more likely to have the confidence you need and most likely will get that new job.

*Do you feel more ready for the work day when you wear a nice outfit rather than just throwing on some sweats and a t-shirt?
"Yes I do feel more prepared and attentive. Although my outfits and style is more of a simplistic nature it still has a level of neatness to it. Jeans, Jordan's and a t-shirt can still make you feel ready for the workday because what you have on makes you feel comfortable and like you. When the jeans fall just right on the top of the shoe and the shirt fits your frame the right way you feel confident. Deon Sanders, hall of fame football player, said "If you look good you feel good, if you feel good you play good, when you play good you win." So I feel that's true when you get dressed for your job also."
-Pastor Jordan (Hope Church)

Please apply this to any area of your life where you just don't feel you are giving 100% or would like to boost you confidence in that certain area.
DRESS WELL, PERFORM BETTER!

Be Mine, Valentine♡

Valentine's Day is a celebration of love and affection. It is all about getting dressed up and looking gorgeous for your significant other. It is the one night you feel that you have a reason to get "dolled up". But wait a minute, what will you wear?! That is where I come in and don't worry ladies, I got you😃
I have a couple options for different style types, so you have a better chance to relate to a style that fits you and your personality.

So the first look I am a little biased towards because it is totally me and something that I would with out a doubt be ok with wearing on Valentine's. If you are anything like me, you hate wearing dresses and heels. I'm such a tomboy and anytime I am wearing a dress or heels I look forward to going home and throwing on some sweats and sneakers, but that is besides the point and now that you are aware of my relationship with dresses and heels lets continue shall we? I didn't leave all my tomboys out this Valentine's Day!
Impress your date with an oversized denim jacket with all black underneath. Black tee paired with black leggings and a very cute chunky heeled boot. SN: I once heard that when running late, wearing all black is go to because it's easy and still very chic at the same time. So this look will also benefit if you are running late on your date. Make the accessories for this style totally fun and simple. Grab a choker and some cute pins on your jacket and you are good to go!

The second look is for all of my ladies who can work a pair of heels and a sexy black dress and look amazing doing it! Bright and fun bomber with a simple black dress and super cute heels, paired with a black and gold choker. This is such a classy, simple look but still sexy at the same time.

Whichever look you go with this Valentine's Day, remember it's all about embracing the true you, showing love to yourself and not worrying about what your date may think or how others might look at you. Own your style and love yourself first, because if you don't love yourself then how will anyone else?

Hi guys!!! I know it has been a while and for that I want to apologize. I have been super busy working but I am so excited to finally be able to focus and blog something for you guys!

So this blog post is going to be a little different but I think very helpful and motivating. 😃 As you guys may know I am all about wanting to help you become confident in your fashion and not being afraid to try new trends and being different! BUT I also want to help you guys feel that way in life and encourage you to go chase your dreams and be the best YOU that you can be.

I never thought that I would ever become a personal stylist/fashion designer. I honestly never thought that I had that in me. But I decided to take a chance and go for it and now I am so grateful to have my own small business and being able show my creativity through clothing. I say all that to say that you can follow your dreams, you can do things that you never thought you could with just a little effort and determination. You are special and have something in you that nobody else does and you were created to give your unique gift to the world. Yes it gets hard sometimes and you feel like your dream is stupid and that maybe it isn't for you and that maybe you should just quit, trust me I know the feeling. I have felt like quitting many times but then I remember that my gift matters to this world and I can't afford to quit. I have to keep grinding to get to where I want to be and I encourage you to do the same!!!

GET OUT THERE AND GO GET IT! KEEP GRINDING! YOU GOT THIS!

EVERYTHING FALL

Cool fall weather, flannels, bombers, boots, scarves and coffee. Just some of the many things I love about fall time. But of course the fashion is what I absolutely love the most and I can't wait to share some of the latest fall trends with you RIGHT NOW!!

One of my favorite fall must haves are boots! I love boots during this season, long knee highs and ankle booties. The kind of boots that are really in right now are the mid cut booties with a chunky heel and these I absolutely am obsessed with. I saw a pair of this style boot in Style Watch magazine as I was flipping through looking for new things and new ideas just for you (and myself of course lol) and I fell in love. They were snake skin, mid cut length with a chunky heel and I thought "I just HAVE to get these"........ until I saw the price *insert shocked face emoji*. But I found almost the same exact pair online for WAY cheaper and I am so pumped to buy a pair and I will share the link with you guys as well if you are interested :)

Dark colors are go to for fall time! Nudes, olive greens, rust, mauves, burgundy, etc. Of course I wouldn't leave you hanging without giving you a few examples of some of some cute pieces and outfits that you can take from for this fall season!

I encourage you to share this with your friends and family so that all of you can be FASHIONABLE FOR FALL.

Stay tuned for my next blog post coming soon!!

Weekend Fun!

It has been a very busy but awesome weekend and I apologize for not posting Friday like I said in my recent post. I was so excited about this weekend and so sad to see it leave so soon. I went to a concert last night that I had been super pumped about for a long time. Social Club Misfits! One of my favorite christian rap groups ever came to my home church and this picture says it all about how excited I was (obviously lol). Now I know I said this was a fashion blog so of course I have to talk about my pretty dope shirt in this photo that I designed myself! Just a burst of creativity, scissors, and a little bit of bleach and the end result is awesomeness. I have to say I am enjoying the happy and accomplished feeling I get after making a cool shirt even more cooler but anyways enough of that.

SUNDAY FUNDAY!
Yay for trying new things!! I have been wanting to do lavender in my hair for a while and I finally did it and I am absolutely LOVING it!! Doing different things to my hair is so fun and exciting to me because it gives me the opportunity to express my creativeness and my personality just like my fashion! Speaking of trying new things, I tried the jacket off the shoulder look today and I definitely was digging it.
I encourage you to try new things with every thing in your life! Don't be afraid to be different and don't worry about what others may think. BE BOLD AND BE YOU!!
